Muddle Jewellery began its life in January 2007.
Jewellery designing and making was a natural progression for me after trying my hand at a variety of different things.
I finished my Degree at Wolverhampton University in 2003, achieving a 2:1 BA (Hons) in Woods, Metals & Plastics where I learned all aspects of 3D Design and I developed many skills in those three years. I followed that by completing an MA in Fashion Design at University of Central England, where I mainly focused on costume design - after being set a project by Iain McCaig, (Hollywood Concept Designer) but I also experimented with textiles and surface design.
Since then I’ve been taking pleasure in learning and developing many techniques in jewellery making and after achieving business support from the Princes Trust in August 2008 I’m able to keep expanding on them.
I make vintage jewellery using charms and findings I’ve found in various places around the world, which makes all the pieces unique, suitable for my customers who love to be individual!
In the last year I’ve been developing a technique designing plastic jewellery - this allows me to make almost any design in any colours - perfect for the people who love to be quirky and kitsch.
Finally I make jewellery using fabric and buttons - mainly using designer fabrics, including Michael Miller and Alexander Henry.
Every single piece of jewellery is made with love, care and attention, to ensure that when it arrives through your letterbox, you’ll love it just as much as me!
If you would like a bespoke piece of jewellery made especially for you contact me on sarah@muddlejewellery.co.uk, so we can discuss your requirements.
I hope you’ll enjoy looking through my collection.
